Pioneer credit card brand RCBC Bankard has scored another win when its entry to the MasterCard Hall of Fame Awards 2009 entitled “3 Ways to Travel In Style” won Best Usage Campaign (Cross-Border) in awarding ceremonies held recently in Sentosa Island, Singapore.
Besting three other bank-finalists from the South and South East Asia region in the said category, RCBC Bankard was given top honors for demonstrating how its campaign strategy led to increased international card usage in terms of sales volumes and transactions outside the country of issuance.
RCBC Bankard’s campaign revolved around the power-packed benefits and features of its Platinum Black Card MasterCard, particularly its Travel Plus insurance benefit that extends insurance protection to cardholders traveling abroad not only in cases of unexpected death or accidents but in case of any medical emergency; its 24/7 access to the Miascor Airport Lounge for cardholders waiting for their international flight; and a promo for cardholders traveling overseas offering them a chance to win back US$1,000 worth of their overseas expenses.
The first-ever MasterCard Hall of Fame Awards aims to recognize teams behind effective, innovative and strategic card marketing campaigns from among more than 100 banks in over 14 markets in the region. A total of 200 entries were received by MasterCard but only 10 awards in different categories were handed out. Entries were judged by 2 of MasterCard’s senior management and 3 esteemed CEOs from Hong Kong and Malaysia.
RCBC Bankard also a Philippine Quill Merit Awardee
RCBC Bankard’s Hall of Fame Award came just a few months after it was also given recognition by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC/Philippines) and awarded The Philippine Quill Merit Award for the great value for shopping it provides its cardholders as shown by the successful launch and impressive public response to its Landmark-Anson’s RCBC Bankard MasterCard.
RCBC Bankard cards are issued by banking stalwart RCBC through its subsidiary Bankard, Inc.
